Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Claims Responsibility for Firing Incident
A firing incident linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang occurred outside the residence of businessman Dilip Singh Rathore in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, raising significant concerns about gang violence in the area. The gang has reportedly demanded a ransom of ₹10 crore from the Rathore family, escalating the stakes of the situation.
According to police reports, three masked men on motorcycles opened fire outside Rathore’s home, while the family was away in Indore. The incident was captured on CCTV, providing crucial evidence for the ongoing investigation.
The threats against the Rathore family were communicated through WhatsApp calls and voice notes, with the accused allegedly sending a video of the firing and threatening to blow up the house, as stated by District Superintendent of Police Ravindra Verma.
In response to the incident, police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons and have deployed a security team outside Rathore’s residence as a precautionary measure. The investigation is currently focused on the video evidence and the complaint filed by the family.
This incident is not isolated; it follows a pattern of threats and violence associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been linked to similar threats reported in the Ashok Nagar district.
Harry Boxer and Arju Bishnoi, members of the gang, confirmed their involvement via social media, further complicating the situation for local law enforcement.
The police are actively investigating the case, and security measures have been heightened in the area to protect the Rathore family and prevent further incidents.
As the investigation unfolds, the community remains on high alert, grappling with the implications of gang-related violence in their midst. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any potential arrests or further threats.
