Philips one chef: Philips OneChef: The Smart Cooking Appliance Unveiled in Mumbai
What observers say
“This product says: ‘I cook what you cook. All of it,’” stated renowned chef Ranveer Brar during the unveiling of the Philips OneChef in Mumbai. The event, held on March 18, 2026, showcased this innovative appliance designed to meet the needs of modern Indian households.
The Philips OneChef is an all-in-one smart cooking appliance that combines 33 cooking functions, including air frying, stir frying, steaming, and boiling. It employs AmbiHeat technology to ensure even heat distribution, making it a versatile addition to any kitchen.
Gulbahar Taurani, a representative from Versuni India, emphasized the appliance’s design, stating, “At Versuni, our focus has always been on understanding how Indian households actually cook.” This insight has driven the development of the OneChef, which aims to simplify the cooking process for users.
With a price tag of Rs 19,995, the Philips OneChef is set to be available for purchase starting March 19, 2026. The launch event featured live cooking demonstrations and a panel discussion, highlighting the appliance’s capabilities and its potential to transform cooking in Indian homes.
The appliance is particularly targeted at Indian households with limited kitchen space, aiming to reduce the need for multiple kitchen appliances. The product took one and a half years of trial to develop, reflecting Philips’ commitment to creating appliances that fit seamlessly into Indian cooking routines.
“With OneChef, we wanted to bring multiple cooking techniques into a single intelligent platform,” Taurani added, underscoring the appliance’s multifunctionality. The growing demand for air fryers among younger consumers further supports the relevance of this innovative product in the current market.
As the launch date approaches, excitement builds around the Philips OneChef and its potential to revolutionize home cooking. The appliance promises to consolidate various cooking methods into a single unit, catering to the evolving needs of Indian consumers.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the appliance’s performance in real-world cooking scenarios, but the initial reception at the unveiling suggests a positive outlook for Philips OneChef in the competitive kitchen appliance market.
