RTE Result 2026 Maharashtra Released
The Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department has announced the RTE Lottery Result 2026 for 25% reserved seats, marking a significant development in the state’s education sector. The results were made public on April 6, 2026, allowing applicants to check the merit list in PDF format on the official website student.maharashtra.gov.in.
A total of 1,14,826 seats are available across 8,701 schools under the 25% RTE quota. This year, the department received an overwhelming 2,89,498 applications for these seats, indicating a high demand for admission in the state’s educational institutions.
The districts with the most applications include Pune, Nagpur, Thane, and Nashik, with Pune alone accounting for 54,684 applications. Nagpur followed with 25,397 applications, Thane with 25,021, and Nashik with 17,542 applications.
The RTE admission process commenced on January 9, 2026, and was initially set to conclude by March 31, 2026. Selected candidates are required to complete their admission formalities at the allotted schools within the stipulated timeline to secure their seats.
Officials have emphasized the importance of adhering to the admission deadlines to ensure a smooth enrollment process for the students. The high number of applications reflects the growing interest in quality education among families in Maharashtra.
