F1 TV Launches on Apple TV

The 2026 Formula 1 season begins on March 7, 2026, marking a new exclusive broadcasting partnership with Apple TV in the U.S. This collaboration aims to enhance the viewing experience for fans, providing them with comprehensive access to live races and additional content.

F1 TV Premium is available exclusively in the U.S. through Apple TV at no additional cost for subscribers. Apple TV subscribers will be able to watch all practice, qualifying, and Sprint sessions, along with the races themselves. The service also offers a Multiview experience, allowing viewers to watch up to four live feeds simultaneously.

Coverage will include both English and Spanish commentary, along with access to up to 30 additional live feeds. Eddy Cue, a senior executive at Apple, stated, “This weekend marks the start of a new era for Formula 1 fans in the U.S.” This sentiment reflects the growing interest and enthusiasm for Formula 1 in the country.

In addition to the live broadcasts, Apple Music will feature free live audio broadcasts of the races starting with the Australian Grand Prix. Furthermore, Formula 1: Drive to Survive will be available to stream on both Netflix and Apple TV, catering to a wider audience.

Apple is also collaborating with Tubi to offer exclusive live F1 altcasts for multiple races during the 2026 season. IMAX will bring the 2026 FIA Formula One World Championship live to select theaters across the U.S., enhancing the viewing experience for fans who prefer a cinematic atmosphere.

Stefano Domenicali, CEO of Formula 1, remarked, “We have an important journey ahead of us, one we’ll share in a country where the passion for F1 continues to grow with extraordinary energy.” This partnership is expected to further solidify Formula 1’s presence in the U.S. market.

Additionally, Apple and TelevisaUnivision are expanding the Spanish-language reach of Formula 1 in the U.S., ensuring that a broader audience can engage with the sport. DIRECTV customers now have access to Apple TV’s live sports programming, including F1, making it more accessible to fans.

Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month, with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. This pricing strategy aims to attract new viewers and enhance the overall accessibility of Formula 1 content.

As the 2026 season approaches, observers are keen to see how this partnership will impact viewership and engagement in the U.S. Details remain unconfirmed regarding specific features and additional content that may be introduced throughout the season.
