ICAI CA Foundation and Intermediate January 2026 Results Announced

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has officially released the results for the CA Foundation and Intermediate examinations conducted in January 2026. This announcement comes as a significant milestone for students who have been eagerly awaiting their performance metrics after the exams.

Logapriya P P from Madurai has emerged as the top scorer in the CA Foundation exam, securing an All India Rank (AIR) 1 with an impressive score of 366 marks out of 400, achieving a percentage of 91.50%. Following closely is Khushi Sikaria from Midnapore, who secured AIR 2 with 365 marks, translating to a percentage of 91.25%. The competition was intense, as three candidates shared the AIR 3 position, each scoring 361 marks: Hiba P from Kannur, Suman Karki from Kathmandu, and Raghav Naresh Gupta from Surat.

The overall pass percentage for the CA Foundation January 2026 examination stood at 19.23%. A closer look at the gender-specific statistics reveals that the pass percentage among male candidates was 20.13%, while 18.26% of female candidates successfully cleared the examination. These figures indicate a slight advantage for male candidates in this session.

In the CA Intermediate examination, Kanhiya Lal from Ellenabad topped the list with a score of 508 marks out of 600, achieving a percentage of 84.67%. Fathima Sheza K from Perintalmann followed closely with 504 marks, earning the second rank with an 84% score. Vanya Bansal from Faridabad secured the third rank with 498 marks, achieving 83%.

The CA Intermediate pass percentage for candidates who cleared both groups together was notably low at 9.39%. When broken down further, Group 1 had a pass percentage of 13.96%, while Group 2 had a slightly higher pass percentage of 15.54%. These statistics reflect the challenging nature of the examinations and the rigorous standards set by the ICAI.

It is important to note that the ICAI conducts these examinations twice a year, in January and July, providing students with multiple opportunities to attempt the exams. The CA Foundation examination serves as the entry-level stage for students aspiring to pursue the Chartered Accountancy course, making these results particularly significant for those at the beginning of their professional journey.

As students and educators analyze these results, the ICAI’s commitment to maintaining high standards in the Chartered Accountancy profession remains evident. The results have sparked discussions among students, educators, and industry professionals, highlighting the need for continued support and resources to help candidates succeed in their future endeavors.

Overall, the January 2026 results reflect both the achievements of individual candidates and the ongoing challenges faced by students in the competitive landscape of Chartered Accountancy. The ICAI continues to play a crucial role in shaping the future of aspiring accountants in India.
