FanCode Partners with Formula 1 in India for 2026 Season
What does FanCode’s partnership with Formula 1 mean for Indian fans?
FanCode has officially become the broadcast partner for Formula 1 in India for the 2026 season, a move that underscores the sport’s growing popularity in the country. This partnership is set to enhance the viewing experience for millions of fans as the new season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix on March 8, 2026.
Since 2024, FanCode’s user base has seen remarkable growth, doubling from 100 million to over 200 million in just two years. This surge in users coincides with a significant increase in Formula 1 fandom in India, which has risen from 60 million in 2024 to 78.8 million in 2026. Such statistics highlight the increasing interest in motorsports among Indian audiences.
The 2026 Formula 1 season will feature an extensive 24-race global calendar and an 11-team grid with 22 drivers. The season promises to be exciting, with revised aerodynamic rules aimed at reducing dirty air, enabling closer racing. Additionally, updated power unit regulations will allow for greater electrical deployment and the use of fully sustainable fuels.
Fans will have various options to access the races through FanCode. The F1 Season Pass is priced at ₹899, covering all races throughout the season. For those interested in attending the Australian Grand Prix, the Race Weekend Pass is available for ₹99. Furthermore, F1 TV Pro, which offers ad-free coverage in 1080p, costs approximately ₹2,760, while F1 TV Premium, which provides 4K Ultra HD streaming, is priced at around ₹3,680.
Despite the excitement surrounding the new season and FanCode’s role in it, streaming on the platform is currently limited to 1080p at 50 FPS. This may raise questions among fans who are accustomed to higher-quality streaming options.
FanCode’s rapid rise reflects the surging popularity of Formula 1 in India, and the partnership is expected to further solidify this trend. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how this collaboration impacts viewership and engagement among Indian fans.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional features or content that may be offered through FanCode as the season unfolds. However, the initial offerings suggest a strong commitment to enhancing the Formula 1 viewing experience in India.
