Google Pixel 11 Pro XL Set for August 2026 Launch
Google is anticipated to unveil the Pixel 11 series, including the Pixel 11 Pro XL, in early to mid-August 2026. This announcement is expected to coincide with the start of pre-orders for the new models.
Recent leaks from case manufacturer ThinBorne suggest that the Pixel 11 Pro XL will feature a wider rear camera cutout, indicating a larger camera bar. Notably, this camera bar is expected to be less protruding than those found in previous models, which may appeal to users seeking a sleeker design.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL is set to incorporate the MediaTek M90 modem, promising improved connectivity. Additionally, it will be powered by the Tensor G6 processor, which is built on TSMC’s advanced 2nm process node. This new architecture is designed to enhance performance while reducing power consumption by 25–30% at the same speed compared to the previous node.
In a shift from recent designs, the Pixel 11 Pro XL will return to a rectangular shape. This design change aligns with Google’s ongoing efforts to refine the aesthetics of its smartphone lineup, which has seen significant evolution since the Pixel 6 series was introduced in October 2021.
While the camera bar design changes are based on leaks from case manufacturers, they remain unconfirmed. The Pixel 11 series is expected to include various models, such as the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
John, a tech enthusiast, commented on the design, stating, “The camera bump never bothered me… the case masks the thickness of the bump quite well.” This sentiment reflects a broader acceptance of design variations among smartphone users.
As the launch date approaches, excitement builds around the Pixel 11 Pro XL’s potential features and specifications. However, details remain unconfirmed, leaving consumers eager for official announcements from Google.
With the anticipated release just months away, the tech community is closely monitoring developments related to the Pixel 11 series, particularly the Pro XL model, which promises to deliver significant advancements in both design and functionality.
