India Post has made notable announcements regarding the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment for 2026. The UP GDS merit list was released on March 6, 2026, marking a significant step in the recruitment process aimed at filling a total of 28,636 posts across various postal circles in India.

The document verification process for candidates in Uttar Pradesh is set to close on March 23, 2026. Candidates are required to present original documents for verification to confirm their appointment. Missing documents can delay or void selection during this critical phase.

Engagement letters for successful candidates are expected to be issued in phases following the completion of document verification. The pay band for engaged candidates ranges from Rs 10,000 to Rs 29,380, providing a competitive salary structure for those selected.
