What does Cameron Green’s uncertain bowling situation mean for KKR and players like Vaibhav Arora? Currently, it poses a significant challenge for the team, as Green, who was acquired for INR 25.20 Crore, did not bowl in the recent match against MI, leading to a 6-wicket loss for KKR.

Ajinkya Rahane, KKR’s captain, highlighted the issue by stating, “Ask Cricket Australia” when questioned about Green’s bowling status. This lack of clarity has left KKR struggling to find a reliable bowling combination, especially with injuries affecting key fast bowlers.

In the absence of Green, KKR has been forced to rely on less experienced bowlers such as Blessing Muzarabani, Kartik Tyagi, and Vaibhav Arora. Rahane acknowledged the difficulties in establishing a solid bowling lineup without Green, emphasizing that the team’s balance is being impacted.

Green’s recent performance has raised concerns, as he has bowled only 7.1 overs in his last 8 competitive appearances, including not bowling in his last Sheffield Shield match before the IPL. This has led to questions about his bowling workload, a topic that has been under scrutiny in previous matches.

Rahane noted that this situation presents an opportunity for other players to showcase their skills, despite the challenges faced. He also mentioned that once Green resumes bowling, the combination will likely change, indicating that KKR is still hopeful for his return.

As KKR navigates this difficult phase, the weaknesses in their bowling attack were evident in the match against MI, further complicating their campaign. The reliance on inexperienced bowlers could be a double-edged sword, offering opportunities while also risking performance consistency.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding when Cameron Green will be able to bowl again, leaving KKR in a precarious position as they seek to improve their standing in the league.
