]]> BJP’s sweeping victory in the Gujarat local body elections underscores its continued dominance across both urban and rural regions. As of April 28, 2026, the BJP has taken a lead, winning over 3,750 seats so far out of more than 9,200 seats contested.

The BJP won all 15 Municipal Corporations in Gujarat. It secured 33 out of 34 District Panchayats. The decisive moment came as results rolled in, showing that the BJP dominated urban bodies, crossing the 50% mark in each municipal corporation.
