FanCode has been named the exclusive digital home for the Indian Super League (ISL) for the 2025-26 season, while Genius Sports has submitted a significant bid of ₹2,129 crore for a 20-year commercial rights cycle linked to the league.

In contrast, FanCode’s bid stands at ₹36 crore annually, with a 5 percent year-on-year increment. This competitive bidding comes as the All India Football Federation (AIFF) opened bids for the commercial rights of its club competitions, which include not only the ISL but also the Federation Cup, Indian Women’s League, and IWL 2.

The successful bidder will enjoy the right of first refusal, and the agreement includes a clause for a 5 percent annual increment. Previously, the AIFF received a fixed ₹50 crore annually from the prior agreement.

During the 2025-26 season, the ISL is expected to feature 14 clubs and a total of 91 matches. AIFF Deputy General Secretary M. Satyanarayan expressed gratitude towards the ISL clubs and Executive Committee members for their support in unveiling the Request for Proposal (RFP).

Historically, the AIFF has faced challenges in attracting bidders, leading to a commercial deadlock that delayed the start of the upcoming ISL season. The current bids signify a renewed interest in the league’s commercial potential.

As the bidding process unfolds, observers are keen to see how the AIFF will navigate the negotiations and whether the bids will meet their expectations. Details remain unconfirmed regarding the final decision on the successful bidder for these commercial rights.
