Moreover, Macao has recently launched China’s first autonomous shuttle route for cross-border medical travel within the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone. The autonomous shuttle service operates from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm, with buses departing every 30 minutes. This service is expected to significantly enhance the integration of autonomous driving technology with healthcare and community services.

Last year, over 20,000 visits were made by Macao residents seeking treatment at Hengqin Hospital, highlighting the growing reliance on this medical route. The launch of the new shuttle service is anticipated to further streamline access to medical care for residents.
