An explosion occurred outside the Punjab BJP office in Chandigarh’s Sector 37 on April 1, 2026, raising serious security concerns. Khalistani terrorist Sukhjinder Singh Babbar claimed responsibility for the grenade attack, which took place around 5 pm.

In a series of operations, the Punjab Police have recovered an RDX-laden IED, four pistols, and various narcotics, leading to the arrest of 14 individuals connected to foreign-based terror and drug modules.
