TTD has implemented extensive measures to provide relief from the heat for pilgrims visiting Tirumala. These changes come as the summer rush begins, with expectations of increased visitor numbers.

Before these developments, pilgrims faced challenges due to limited facilities. The demand often outstripped supply, leading to discomfort during visits.

Now, TTD has made significant improvements. They have spent approximately two crore rupees to enhance facilities across the site.

Key enhancements include:

Shaded shelters arranged from Batagangamma Circle to Gogarbham Dam Circle and up to the Outer Ring Road.

Mobile water drums set up to provide drinking water for pilgrims.

A total of 16 medical centers available for immediate assistance.

Furthermore, TTD has prioritized accommodation for families. Solo pilgrims will not receive room allocations, ensuring that larger groups can stay together.

The laddu distribution also sees an increase. TTD has made an additional 3.50 lakh laddus available during this peak period.

With these changes, TTD aims to improve overall pilgrim services significantly. There are now 11 mini Kalyana Kattas in various rest houses, enhancing the experience for visitors.

A total of 1,152 barbers, including 269 women, are providing services to pilgrims. This increase aims to reduce waiting times and meet demand effectively.

The enhancements reflect TTD’s commitment to improving facilities at the Tirumala temple. With limited accommodation available for more than 60,000 pilgrims, these changes are crucial for managing the summer influx.
