Mohanty, chairman of the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha, noted, “The sudden disruption in supply has severely affected food preparation and service in many establishments.”

In response to the crisis, the Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Minister has claimed that there is no shortage of LPG gas in the state. However, the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Odisha has urged the government to restore the supply of commercial LPG cylinders to mitigate the impact on the hospitality sector.

Protests have erupted in northern Bengal’s Cooch Behar district over the unavailability of domestic cooking gas, while long queues have formed outside gas agencies in Uttar Pradesh amid rumors of LPG shortages. This situation highlights the growing frustration among consumers and businesses alike.
