Bihar Civil Court Releases Admit Cards

The Bihar Civil Court has released the admit card for the recruitment examination for Civil Court Peon posts, which is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2026. Candidates are required to download their admit cards from the official website, as individual copies will not be sent out.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 7,692 vacancies across various posts, including 3,325 positions for clerks, 1,562 for stenographers, 1,132 for court reader-cum-deposition writers, and 1,673 posts for peons or orderlies under Group D. Eligibility for the peon role requires candidates to have passed the Class 10 matriculation examination.

The age limits for applicants are set between 20 and 25 years as of October 1, 2024. It is essential for candidates to carry the printed admit card along with a valid photo ID to the examination centre. As stated in the announcement, “Candidates must appear at the centre mentioned on their admit card on the date and shift allotted.” Entry into the exam hall will not be permitted without both documents.

In a related context, the Patna Civil Court experienced disruptions recently due to a bomb threat received on February 9, 2026, which delayed a bail hearing for Pappu Yadav, who was arrested in connection with a case dating back to 1995. Advocate Shivnandan Bharti confirmed the bomb threat, stating, “We have been told that a bomb threat has been received on the email address of the District Judge.”

Yadav’s bail application was scheduled for the same day as the bomb threat, and he has since been moved to Patna Medical College and Hospital under judicial custody due to health issues. Bharti commented on the situation, noting, “Yadav was arrested following questionable police action and has been moved to Patna Medical College and Hospital under judicial custody owing to his deteriorating health.”

This recruitment process for the Bihar Civil Court is significant as it aims to bolster the workforce in the judiciary, addressing the ongoing demand for support staff in the legal system. The position earlier listed as ‘Peon/Orderly’ will now be referred to as ‘Attendant [Peon (General + Orderly)].’

As the examination date approaches, candidates are encouraged to ensure they have all necessary documents ready for a smooth examination process. Further updates regarding the examination and any potential changes will be communicated through official channels.
