Hyundai Verna Facelift Launches in India

The 2026 Hyundai Verna facelift has been launched in India, marking a significant update in the popular sedan’s lineup. With prices ranging from Rs 10.98 lakh to Rs 18.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Verna aims to enhance its competitive edge in the market.

This updated model is available in six variants: HX2, HX4, HX6, HX6+, HX8, and HX10. Each variant offers a blend of performance and features designed to meet diverse customer preferences.

Under the hood, the new Verna is powered by two engine options: a 1.5 litre NA petrol engine producing 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque, and a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that delivers 160 hp and 253 Nm of torque. This range of engines is expected to appeal to a wide audience, from those seeking efficiency to those desiring performance.

In terms of safety, the updated Verna includes a Level-2 ADAS suite and seven airbags, enhancing occupant protection and driving assistance. These features position the Verna as a strong contender against rivals like the Honda City, VW Virtus, and Skoda Slavia.

The interior of the new Verna has also received a modern upgrade, featuring dual 10.25-inch screens and a new D-cut steering wheel, providing a contemporary and tech-savvy driving experience.

Additionally, the new Verna boasts a powered tailgate and a built-in dashcam, further enhancing convenience and safety for drivers. With a trunk capacity of 528 litres, it also offers ample storage for everyday use.

Deliveries for the new Verna are expected to start by the end of the month, allowing customers to experience the latest enhancements firsthand. As the automotive market evolves, the Verna facelift is poised to make a significant impact.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding the long-term effects of this launch on Hyundai’s market share in the competitive sedan segment. However, the initial reception and sales performance will be closely monitored by industry analysts.
