Skoda Kushaq Facelift Launching in March 2026
Skoda Auto India is launching the updated Kushaq facelift in March 2026, with the new Classic+ variant expected to attract a wider range of buyers in the midsize SUV segment. The facelift was first unveiled globally in January 2026, generating significant interest among automotive enthusiasts.
The Classic+ variant serves as the new entry-level automatic trim for the Kushaq facelift, featuring LED daytime running lights, projector headlamps, and LED tail lamps. Additionally, it includes a single-pane sunroof and alloy wheels, which has excited many potential customers.
Equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system and a multi-function steering wheel, the Kushaq Classic+ is designed to offer a modern driving experience. The variant will be powered by a turbo petrol engine, available with a 6-speed manual transmission and an 8-speed automatic option, which replaces the older 6-speed torque converter.
With an ARAI-claimed mileage of 18.09 kmpl, the Kushaq Classic+ aims to deliver efficiency alongside performance. The estimated price of this variant is around Rs 11.69 Lakh in Nagpur, positioning it competitively against rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota HyRyder.
The Kushaq has also received a 5-star crash safety rating, enhancing its appeal to safety-conscious buyers. Features such as rain-sensing wipers further contribute to the vehicle’s overall value.
The automotive community is buzzing about Skoda’s decision to include a sunroof and alloy wheels on a base variant. Observers note that if you are currently eyeing a base Creta or Seltos, you absolutely must wait for this official launch on March 20th.
However, details remain unconfirmed regarding whether the air conditioning performance issues from the pre-facelift models have been permanently resolved. Additionally, the rear cabin space for three adults on long family road trips is still under debate.
As the launch date approaches, the excitement surrounding the Skoda Kushaq facelift continues to grow, with many eager to see how it performs in the competitive SUV market.
