New train services are set to launch from Kakinada to major cities like Varanasi and Delhi. These new railway services aim to accommodate the expected seasonal rush of passengers during the summer months.

On May 1, 2026, the South Central Railway (SCR) announced the extension of the Danapur-SMVT Bengaluru special train. This extension responds to increased passenger demand.

Additionally, a special train service from Hyderabad to Gorakhpur was also introduced. This service aims to alleviate the extra rush of travelers during this peak season.

MP Uday Srinivas confirmed that these new train routes will connect Kakinada with Varanasi, Delhi, and Trivendrum. The announcement reflects ongoing efforts to enhance railway connectivity in Andhra Pradesh.

The trains were notified specifically to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer season. Increased travel during this time necessitates additional services.

The introduction of these special trains is significant for residents and travelers in Kakinada. It provides more options for reaching major cities across India.
