Srinivasan, who was 72 years old at the time of his passing, was a notable figure in Tamil cinema, recognized for his multifaceted contributions as a producer, director, composer, and actor. His career began in 1987 with the film Ivargal Varungala Thoongal, which set the stage for a series of successful projects.

Over the years, he produced several landmark films, including Manasukul Mathappu (1988), Nalaya Manithan (1989), and Witness (1995). His directorial work included Jenma Natchathiram (1991), a remake of the famous horror film The Omen, showcasing his versatility in the industry.

In addition to his work in film, Srinivasan was known for his philanthropic efforts. He ran an ashram in his later years, where he lived with his adopted children, reflecting his commitment to social causes.

His last directorial project was Aduthathu, inspired by Agatha Christie’s novel And Then There Were None. This film marked the end of a prolific career that spanned several decades.

Srinivasan also played a significant role as an antagonist in the Kamal Hassan-starrer Soora Samharam, further establishing his presence in the film industry.
