hindu nav varsh — IN news

What measures are being taken for the Hindu Nav Varsh celebrations in Jamshedpur? The district administration has implemented extensive security arrangements for the Nav Varsh Shoba procession scheduled for March 19, marking the beginning of the Hindu New Year according to the Vikram Samvat calendar.

Various social and Hindu organizations will collaborate to organize the Shoba Yatra, which will start from the transport ground at Dimna and culminate in a religious gathering at Subhash Maidan. The procession will cover a distance of 7 kilometers.

To ensure safety, police have identified 38 intersections along the route for temporary barricading. Additionally, CCTVs will be installed at 35 strategic points to monitor the procession and maintain public order.

In terms of personnel, nine deputy police superintendent rank officials will coordinate with the procession leaders, while police station in-charges have been instructed to enhance patrolling along the route. The administration has also prohibited the movement of heavy commercial vehicles on the procession route from 6 am to 11 pm on March 18.

Security forces, including the Rapid Action Force and Quick Response Teams, will be deployed throughout the area. Police and para-military personnel will be equipped with water cannon machines, tear gas shells, and rubber bullets to manage any potential disturbances.

The Hindu New Year, celebrated as Hindu Nav Varsh, is a significant occasion for many in India, and the preparations in Jamshedpur reflect the importance of this event. The local community is expected to participate in large numbers, contributing to the festive atmosphere.

As the date approaches, the district administration continues to finalize arrangements to ensure a smooth and safe celebration. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional measures that may be implemented as the event draws near.
