2027 Honda City Facelift: Updates on the Upcoming Model
The Honda City facelift is intended to keep the existing model fresh until the next-generation model arrives in 2028. Recently, the 2027 Honda City facelift has been spotted testing in Brazil, indicating that preparations for its launch are underway.
This facelift is expected to debut in India before Diwali 2026, bringing several updates to the popular sedan. The new model will feature a revised grille, updated bumpers, and new headlamps, enhancing its aesthetic appeal.
Despite the cosmetic changes, the engine lineup will remain the same, featuring a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated i-VTEC petrol engine that produces around 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque. This consistency in the engine choice aims to maintain the driving experience that customers expect from the Honda City.
In terms of pricing, the facelift is anticipated to see a slight increase compared to the current model, with a starting price around ₹12 lakh. The hybrid variant is expected to be priced between ₹18–20 lakh, catering to the growing demand for more eco-friendly options.
The facelift will also include modern features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), aligning with current market trends in vehicle technology.
Mileage figures are expected to remain similar to the current model, with the petrol manual variant delivering around 17–18 kmpl. This consistency in fuel efficiency is likely to appeal to budget-conscious consumers.
Moreover, the updated model will comply with E20 fuel compatibility and BS6 emission norms, ensuring it meets the latest environmental standards.
The Brazilian version of the 2027 Honda City facelift is expected to be unveiled in the second half of 2026, which may provide further insights into the model’s specifications and features.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the exact launch date in India and specific feature additions. Observers are keenly awaiting more information as the launch date approaches.
As the Honda City continues to compete with rivals such as the Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus, the facelift aims to reinforce its position in the market.
