Bimal Oberoi Shines in Dhurandhar: The Revenge
Bimal Oberoi has recently gained attention for his role as Shirani in the blockbuster film Dhurandhar: The Revenge. This film has made a significant impact at the box office, earning over ₹1,200 crore globally, following the success of its predecessor, which collected over ₹1,300 crore worldwide.
Oberoi’s journey to this prominent role was not straightforward; he auditioned multiple times over several months before being cast. Director Aditya Dhar played a crucial role in shaping Oberoi’s character, asking him to grow a real beard and shave his head to fit the role of Shirani, who passes on the title of Sher-E-Baloch to Ranveer Singh‘s character.
Despite joining the cast late in the production process, Oberoi’s dedication to his craft has been evident. He expressed admiration for Dhar’s vision and direction, stating, “I auditioned multiple times over a few months.” He also noted Singh’s significant involvement in the film, saying, “Ranveer was so much into the film; he owned it. He made sure everything around me was perfect.”
Oberoi’s rise in the entertainment industry can be traced back to his early experiences in music videos, including those featuring Daler Mehndi. This exposure was crucial for his success and allowed him to focus on his acting career.
As Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to perform well, industry observers are keen to see how Oberoi’s career will evolve following this high-profile role. His performance has been well-received, and many are anticipating his future projects in the film industry.
