Toaster Movie Set for Netflix Release

The upcoming Toaster movie, a dark comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra, is set to premiere on Netflix on April 15, 2026. The film centers around Rao’s character, Ramakant, a neurotic cheapskate whose obsession with retrieving a toaster he gifted at a wedding leads him into a web of crime.

The narrative takes a turn when the wedding where the toaster was gifted is called off, resulting in the gift being donated to charity. This unexpected twist propels Ramakant on a chaotic quest to reclaim the toaster, showcasing how something seemingly trivial can dominate a person’s life.

Directed by Vivek Das Chaudhary, Toaster features a writing team that includes Parveez Sheikh, Akshat Ghildial, and Anagh Mukherjee. The film also presents a distinctive avatar of Archana Puran Singh, alongside a talented cast that includes Abhishek Banarjee, Farah Khan, Upendra Limaye, and Seema Pahwa.
