Aditya Uppal’s Admiration for Sanjay Dutt
Aditya Uppal, known for his role as Omar Hamid in the film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has expressed his deep admiration for Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Uppal, a lifelong fan of Dutt, described his experience working alongside the veteran actor as both intimidating and charming.
During the filming, Uppal recalled a memorable moment when he touched Dutt’s feet to convey his admiration. “Just standing next to him felt like an achievement in itself. Sharing screen space and dialogues with him was truly special,” Uppal stated. He emphasized that Dutt’s presence significantly elevated his performance in the film.
The first meeting between Uppal and Dutt took place on set in Amritsar, where Uppal had been cast at the last minute. He noted that Dutt chose to perform scenes with him rather than using a double, which he found to be a meaningful gesture for a newcomer like himself.
Uppal has been a fan of Dutt since childhood, particularly admiring films such as Sadak, Saajan, and Khal Nayak. He expressed a desire to collaborate with filmmaker and actor Farhan Akhtar, stating, “I’d really love to share screen space with Farhan Akhtar. I genuinely admire his kind of cinema and his work as an actor.”
As Uppal reflects on his experiences, he acknowledges the impact that Dutt has had on his career. “You do feel intimidated, obviously. He is a senior actor, a name we’ve all grown up watching,” he remarked.
Uppal’s admiration for Dutt and his aspirations to work with other prominent figures in the industry highlight his dedication to his craft and the influence of established actors on emerging talent. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any future collaborations or projects involving Uppal and Akhtar.
