Commercial Cylinder Price Hits All-Time High in Bengaluru
The commercial LPG cylinder price in Bengaluru has surged to an all-time high. The price of a commercial gas cylinder was hiked by ₹993 on April 30. This brings the total cost to ₹3,152, the highest ever recorded.
P. C. Rao, President of the Bengaluru Hotels’ Association, stated, “A price hike in all food items in restaurants and eateries is inevitable.” The increase in LPG prices will affect the local food business significantly.
Commercial LPG cylinder prices have surged by ₹933 recently. This spike poses an economic strain on small food businesses across the region. While the government has shielded households from domestic LPG price rises, commercial kitchens face rising costs.
This situation arises amidst ongoing challenges linked to the West Asia crisis. The impact on local restaurants and eateries is expected to be profound as they adjust their pricing structures to cope with increased operational costs.
As businesses navigate this new landscape, many are bracing for further adjustments. The next few weeks will likely reveal how deeply these changes will affect consumer prices and eating out habits in Bengaluru.
