NEET UG 2026 Registration Deadline Approaches
The registration window for the NEET UG 2026 examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), will close on March 8, 2026. This critical deadline is significant for aspiring medical students in India, as the NEET UG score is essential for admission to various undergraduate medical programmes, including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and BSc Nursing.
Candidates must submit their online application forms by 9 PM on March 8, 2026. Furthermore, the application fee payment facility will remain available until 11:50 PM on the same day, allowing candidates a brief window to complete their registration.
The application process commenced on February 8, 2026, providing candidates with a month-long period to prepare and submit their applications. Following the registration deadline, a correction window will open from March 10 to March 12, 2026, allowing candidates to rectify any errors in their submitted forms.
The NEET UG 2026 examination is scheduled for May 3, 2026, and will be conducted in an offline mode, utilizing a pen-and-paper format. This traditional examination method remains a staple in the assessment of medical aspirants across India.
For the application, the fee structure is tiered based on the candidate’s category. General category applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,700, while candidates from the General-EWS and OBC-NCL categories will pay Rs 1,600. SC, ST, PwBD, and Third Gender candidates have a reduced fee of Rs 1,000.
NEET UG serves as the national-level entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical programmes, making it a pivotal event in the academic calendar for many students aspiring to enter the medical field.
As the registration deadline approaches, candidates are urged to ensure their applications are submitted on time to avoid missing out on this opportunity. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any potential extensions or changes to the registration timeline.
