By Vikram Nair / 08.03.2026
The 2026 Formula 1 season is a ‘reset’ year for the sport, featuring new engine regulations and car designs that aim to enhance performance and sustainability. This season is particularly significant for fans in the United States, as it marks the beginning of a new broadcasting era.
New Developments
Starting in 2026, Apple TV will serve as the exclusive U.S. broadcaster for Formula 1, providing fans with a fresh viewing experience. Eddy Cue from Apple stated, “This weekend marks the start of a new era for Formula 1 fans in the U.S.” This partnership is expected to elevate the coverage of races, practices, and qualifying sessions.
In India, FanCode has been announced as the official broadcast partner for F1, ensuring that fans in the region have access to comprehensive coverage of the sport. F1 TV Pro will offer ad-free coverage in 1080p, while F1 TV Premium will provide 4K Ultra HD streaming, enhancing the visual experience for viewers.
Viewing Options and Pricing
F1 TV Premium includes live streaming of every F1 race, practices, and qualifying races, making it a valuable option for dedicated fans. The pricing structure for F1 TV in India includes a Season Pass at ₹899, a Race Weekend Pass at ₹99, and a Motorsports Pass at ₹999. Additionally, F1 TV Pro is priced at ₹2760, while F1 TV Premium costs ₹3680, with F1 TV Access available for ₹1840.
New users can enjoy a 20% discount on the F1 Season Pass, making it more accessible for fans looking to engage with the sport. F1 TV Premium can be used on up to four devices simultaneously, allowing fans to share the experience with friends and family.
Future Expectations
As the 2026 season approaches, observers anticipate that these changes will significantly enhance the viewing experience for fans both in the U.S. and India. The clarity and vibrant colors of the broadcasts will transform every turn, overtake, and pit stop into cinema-quality viewing. Furthermore, Apple TV is set to offer up to 30 additional live feeds beyond the main broadcast, providing fans with unprecedented access to the races.
F1 TV isn’t stopping at 4K video quality, indicating a commitment to continually improve the viewing experience. With the Australian Grand Prix scheduled for March 8, 2026, fans are eagerly awaiting the start of the season and the new broadcasting features that will accompany it.
