Bihar Board Class 12 Results 2026 Announced
The Bihar School Examination Board has announced the Class 12 results for 2026, revealing an overall pass rate of 85.19%. This marks a decline from last year’s pass percentage of 86.56%, indicating a shift in student performance.
In the latest results, girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 86.23% compared to boys’ 84.09%. This trend continues a pattern observed in previous years, where female students have consistently excelled.
A total of 26 students topped the exam, with an impressive 19 of them being girls. This highlights the growing academic success among female students in Bihar.
The exams were conducted from February 2 to 13, 2026, with over 13 lakh students participating. Students can access their results online or via SMS using their roll numbers, and marksheets are available for download from official websites.
Bihar Education Minister Sunil Kumar stated, “The overall pass percentage this year is 85.19%.” He also noted, “Girls have outperformed boys across all streams,” emphasizing the significant achievement of female students.
Despite the overall decline in pass rates, the Bihar Board continues to maintain its record of being among the first boards in India to declare Class 12 results. This prompt announcement allows students to plan their next steps in education or career.
Minimum marks required to pass each subject remain at 33%, a standard that has been consistent in previous years. The board’s efforts to ensure transparency and accessibility in results have been well received by students and parents alike.
The shift in performance metrics raises questions about the factors influencing student outcomes this year. Experts suggest that various elements, including exam preparation and socio-economic factors, may have played a role.
As the educational landscape continues to evolve, the Bihar Board’s results serve as a critical indicator of student performance and educational trends in the region.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the specific reasons for the decline in overall pass rates, but the board is expected to analyze the results further to address any underlying issues.
