rcb tickets 2026 — IN news

Tickets for the IPL 2026 opener between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad went live at 4 pm on March 24, 2026. The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 28, 2026.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which has a seating capacity of approximately 40,000, saw tickets priced between Rs 3,750 and Rs 47,000. However, fans quickly reported that tickets were sold out within minutes of the sale opening, leading to widespread frustration.

In a notable gesture, RCB has reserved 11 tickets for every home game as a tribute to the victims of a stampede that occurred during the team’s title celebrations in June 2025. This decision reflects the club’s commitment to honoring those affected by the tragedy.

Despite the excitement surrounding the ticket sales, complaints have emerged regarding potential pre-allocation of tickets to VVIPs and issues with black market resales. Fans have expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of transparency in the ticketing process.

“What’s the point of opening the RCB ticket sale when there are literally no seats available for fans to book?” an anonymous fan remarked, highlighting the frustrations felt by many. Another fan shared, “I logged in right at 4 pm, the sale started at 4:01 pm, and this is what I see. This always happens, and I’m seriously tired of this.”

One fan recounted their experience trying to book N-stand tickets worth Rs 25,000, stating, “It showed only one seat, and that too already taken.” Such experiences have raised concerns about the fairness of the ticketing process.

Tickets are available exclusively through the official RCB website and app, and fans can enjoy a complimentary metro ride on match day with their tickets. However, details remain unconfirmed regarding the possibility of additional ticket releases or a dynamic pricing model.

As the opening match approaches, the anticipation continues to build, but concerns about ticket availability and pricing discrepancies remain unaddressed. The situation has left many fans eager yet frustrated as they navigate the ticketing landscape for this year’s IPL season.
