The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is gearing up for its 11th edition in 2026, with the tournament scheduled to take place from March 26 to May 3, 2026. This year, the league has expanded to feature eight teams, including Lahore Qalandars, Hyderabad Kingsmen, Quetta Gladiators, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Rawalpindiz, Multan Sultans, and Islamabad United.

The tournament will kick off with the opening match between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen, marking an exciting start to the season. A total of 44 matches will be played, with the first 14 matches hosted in Lahore before the action shifts to Karachi.

All matches will be held at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Bank Stadium in Karachi, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere for fans and players alike. However, due to ongoing regional crises and austerity measures, the tournament will begin behind closed doors, and there will be no opening ceremony this year.

Day matches are set to start at 3 PM IST, while night matches will commence at 7:30 PM IST. Despite the excitement surrounding the tournament, it is important to note that PSL 2026 will not be broadcast or streamed in India, as there is currently no media rights agreement in place.

The final match of the tournament is scheduled for May 3, 2026, and the playoffs will be split between Lahore and Karachi, adding an element of competition as teams vie for the championship. The traditional curtain-raiser in Lahore has been cancelled as part of the scaled-back plans.

As the tournament approaches, fans and players are eager to see how this year’s PSL unfolds, especially with the unique circumstances surrounding its start. Details remain unconfirmed regarding any potential changes to the schedule or format as the tournament progresses.
