RCB IPL Update: Upcoming Match Against SRH on March 28, 2026
By Rohan Mehta / 25.03.2026
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has a storied history in the Indian Premier League (IPL), having reached the finals four times before finally clinching their maiden title in 2025 after an 18-year wait. The team, known for featuring legendary players such as Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle, is now preparing for its upcoming match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 28, 2026, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB will play five matches in Bengaluru and two in Raipur this season. The match against SRH is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST, and tickets for this highly anticipated game went on sale on March 24, 2026. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets only through the official RCB website and app.
In a statement, RCB emphasized the importance of checking the outer and inner gates printed on the ticket to ensure smooth entry and exit. Spectator entry will be limited to specific routes, namely Cubbon Road, Link Road, and MG Road. Additionally, all ticket holders can enjoy a complimentary metro ride on match day.
RCB’s current captain is Rajat Patidar, with Andy Flower serving as the head coach. The coaching staff also includes Dinesh Karthik as the batting coach and Omkar Salvi as the bowling coach. Physiotherapist Evan Speechly is also part of the team, ensuring players are in optimal condition for the matches.
As RCB gears up for this match, the excitement among fans is palpable, especially after the team’s recent success. However, the tragic incident during the celebrations following their 2025 title win, which resulted in 11 deaths, remains a somber reminder of the intense emotions surrounding the sport.
RCB’s management has assured fans that the entry QR code for the match will be available only a few hours before the gates open on match day, ensuring a streamlined process for attendees. This initiative aims to enhance the match-day experience for all spectators.
As the match day approaches, observers are keen to see how RCB will perform against SRH, with many expecting a competitive encounter. The team’s recent form and the support of their home crowd could play a crucial role in the outcome of the game.
Overall, the upcoming match is not just a sporting event but also a significant occasion for RCB and its supporters, marking another chapter in the franchise’s ongoing journey in the IPL.
