guerrilla 450 — IN news

The launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Apex in 2024 marks a significant development in the motorcycle segment, offering enhanced performance and sportier ergonomics. The introductory price for the Guerrilla 450 Apex starts at Rs 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), making it an attractive option for motorcycle enthusiasts.

The Guerrilla 450 Apex features a 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that produces 40hp and 40Nm of torque, ensuring a robust riding experience. Additionally, the bike is equipped with road-focused Vredestein tyres, which contribute to improved handling and stability.

One of the key design changes in the Apex variant is the sportier ergonomics, with an aluminium handlebar positioned 56mm lower and 57mm farther forward than its predecessor. This adjustment is aimed at providing a more aggressive riding posture, appealing to sport-oriented riders.

In terms of aesthetics, the Guerrilla 450 Apex is available in three striking colours: red, black, and green. Furthermore, the bike includes a removable rear-seat cowl that can be taken off to reveal the seat underneath, adding to its versatility.

Supporting the rider’s connectivity needs, the Guerrilla 450 Apex is equipped with a Tripper Dash that features Google Maps navigation and smartphone connectivity. This integration enhances the overall riding experience, allowing users to access essential information on the go.

Notably, the standard Guerrilla model has also seen improvements, with tyres that offer an 8% increase in dry grip and a 17% improvement in wet grip, enhancing safety and performance in various riding conditions.

The Royal Enfield app has been updated to provide more information and ride data, further enriching the user experience. However, the Dash variant of the Guerrilla 450 has been discontinued, indicating a shift in the brand’s focus towards the Apex model.

The Guerrilla 450 range is now priced from Rs 2.49 lakh to Rs 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai), reflecting the enhancements made in the new models. As the motorcycle market continues to evolve, Royal Enfield’s latest offerings aim to address the concerns raised by the outgoing model.

Details remain unconfirmed regarding the long-term impact of these changes on sales and customer reception, but the initial response to the Guerrilla 450 Apex suggests a positive outlook for Royal Enfield in the competitive motorcycle landscape.
