The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 is scheduled to commence on March 28, 2026, and will run until May 31, 2026. This season will feature a total of 70 league matches, followed by playoffs, making it a highly anticipated event for cricket fans across the globe.
Each of the ten participating teams, including well-known franchises such as Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Chennai Super Kings, will play 14 matches—seven at home and seven away. The tournament opener will feature a match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad in Bengaluru, setting the stage for an exciting season. Afternoon matches are set to start at 3:30 PM IST, while night matches will begin at 7:30 PM IST.
Star Sports Network has secured the broadcasting rights for IPL 2026, ensuring that fans can catch all the action live. Tickets for the matches will be available for purchase through platforms like Book My Show and District (by Zomato), making it easier for fans to attend the games.
