CS Reviews State Pragati Portal and Reforms
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan held a review of the State Pragati Portal on April 1, 2023, in Dehradun, India. This initiative aims to monitor all significant State and Centrally sponsored schemes through the portal, ensuring that departments upload details of their major schemes promptly.
Bardhan directed all departments to upload their scheme details at the earliest to facilitate comprehensive oversight. The review comes as part of a broader push to enhance governance and service delivery in the region.
In addition to the portal review, CS Garvita Gaba recently resigned from her position as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Shri Krishna Prasadam Limited, effective February 16, 2026. Her resignation was attributed to marriage and personal reasons.
The Chief Secretary also emphasized the need to fast-track pending reforms under the D-BRAP-2025 initiative, which includes 154 reform points that all states and union territories are expected to implement.
Atal Dulloo, a key official involved in the reforms, underscored the significance of these changes in improving citizen welfare and fostering a conducive business environment across Jammu and Kashmir. He stated, “The pace of reforms must be sustained and tangible outcomes achieved without exception.”
The reforms aim to transform governance through digitisation, transparency, and time-bound service delivery. A real-time monitoring dashboard for service delivery has been developed in line with the guidelines set by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
All departments have been instructed to ensure 100 percent implementation of the prescribed reforms, with a focus on achieving measurable results. Bardhan’s review and directives reflect a commitment to enhancing the efficiency of government services.
As the State Pragati Portal evolves, it is expected to play a crucial role in the oversight and management of various schemes, thereby improving the overall governance framework.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding the full impact of these reforms and the subsequent changes in departmental operations.
