Rain: DJP Extends Corporate Tax Reporting Deadline
The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) has announced an extension of the corporate tax reporting deadline to May 31, 2026. This decision aims to enhance taxpayer services amid ongoing improvements in their tax administration system.
Previously, the deadline for corporate taxpayers was set for April 30, 2026. The DJP’s extension reflects a commitment to providing better support during the reporting period.
Individual taxpayers will not see a change; their reporting deadline remains April 30, 2026. Finance Minister Purba Yudi Sadeva directed this extension as part of broader efforts to improve the core tax administration system called CoreTax.
DJP plans to offer personal assistance to taxpayers every day from Monday to Sunday during the reporting period. This initiative is designed to ensure that services are accessible and responsive to taxpayer needs.
Bimo Vijayanto, the Director General of Taxes, stated, “This extension is based on the need to improve services for taxpayers.” He emphasized that the DJP is committed to ensuring that this service is close to taxpayers and fully helps them.
The extension also allows corporations additional time for accurate income tax reporting. It comes at a time when many businesses are navigating complex financial landscapes.
Overall, the DJP’s decision underscores its focus on enhancing taxpayer experiences while refining its operational capabilities. The agency continues to prioritize taxpayer services in its strategic planning.
