Akansha Ranjan Kapoor recently shared her painful experience of freezing her eggs at the age of 32. She emphasized the importance of proactive reproductive health during a discussion on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, All About Her.

In March 2026, Akansha underwent the egg freezing procedure. She discovered that her AMH (Anti-Mullerian Hormone) level was low for her age. The procedure caused her significant pain and discomfort.

She stated, “I couldn’t walk for 2–3 days… I was in so much pain.” Akansha described the sensation as feeling like “a big balloon inside me.” This discomfort led to emotional challenges as well.

Despite the pain, she received positive support from friends and family regarding her decision to freeze her eggs. Many people around her were getting pregnant, which prompted her to take action.

Reflecting on her experience, Akansha expressed regret about not freezing her eggs earlier. “I wish I had done it earlier,” she said. She referred to egg freezing as a form of insurance for her future self.

Her story sheds light on the physical and emotional challenges women face when considering fertility options. It also highlights the significance of understanding female health and reproductive choices.
