Jamshedpur FC’s late goals secured their position at the top of the ISL standings with a 2-0 victory over FC Goa on May 1, 2026. The match took place at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.
The breakthrough arrived in the 83rd minute when Mohammed Sanan scored the first goal. Madih Talal followed up with a second goal in the 90+6th minute to seal the win.
With this victory, Jamshedpur FC moved to the top of the table with 21 points from 11 matches. In contrast, FC Goa slipped to third place with 19 points.
Talal was named the Player of the Match for his performance. Owen Coyle fielded an unchanged side for Jamshedpur FC, while Manolo Márquez made one enforced change for FC Goa due to injury.
Jamshedpur FC had previously won against Chennaiyin FC with a score of 4-1. They demonstrated strong defensive skills, as they remained composed at the back throughout the match.
