Airport: Noida International : A New Gateway for Passengers

Noida International Airport will begin commercial flight operations on 15 June 2026, positioning itself as a key gateway for passengers and cargo in North India.

The first flight will be operated by IndiGo. This airport is one of the largest greenfield airport projects in India, developed under a Public-Private Partnership model.

• The first phase of Noida International Airport has seen an investment of around 11,200 crore rupees.
• The initial passenger handling capacity is set at 12 million passengers per annum.
• When fully developed, the airport’s capacity can scale up to 70 million passengers per annum.
• The airport aims to connect the greater Delhi area and Western Uttar Pradesh with other cities in India and around the world.

The commencement of services follows the inauguration of the airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Officials have confirmed that the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security approved the Aerodrome Security Programme.

Observers expect that Noida International Airport will significantly enhance regional connectivity. This development could also boost economic activity in North India.
