What is the ASMITA League?

Khadse stated, “This initiative will empower female athletes across the country by providing them a competitive platform at the grassroots level.” This initiative is part of a broader effort to inspire women through sports.

The league will feature competitions for girls in three age categories: Under 13, 13 to 18 years, and 18 years and above. Athletics events will include races of 100 metres, 200 metres, and 400 metres, allowing participants to showcase their talents and skills.

On March 8, a one-day sporting event will take place at the District Sports Complex in Chandel. This event will include a 200 metres race and a friendly women’s volleyball match, further encouraging female participation in sports.

Interested participants can register for the events through the websites mybhartat.gov.in or nsrs.kheloindia.gov.in. This accessibility aims to ensure that a wide range of female athletes can take part in the competitions.
