Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Launches in India
Just before the recent launch, anticipation was building among tech enthusiasts in India for the new Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro series. Following the success of the Poco X7 series last year, which gained popularity for its budget-friendly yet capable features, the latest offerings aimed to elevate user experience further.
On the launch date, the Poco X8 Pro and Poco X8 Pro Max were unveiled, capturing attention with their impressive specifications. The Poco X8 Pro Max features a substantial 6.83-inch OLED display, boasting a resolution of 1280 x 2772 pixels and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. This model is powered by the Dimensity 9500s chipset, ensuring robust performance.
In terms of battery life, the Poco X8 Pro Max stands out with an 8500mAh battery, which is the largest in Poco’s history, supporting 100W HyperCharge technology. This allows for rapid charging, catering to users who prioritize long-lasting battery life.
Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro offers a slightly smaller 6.59-inch display with a resolution of 1268 x 2756 pixels, also featuring a 120Hz refresh rate. It is equipped with a Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset and a 6500mAh battery, which also supports 100W charging.
Both models come with an IP69K rating, ensuring durability against dust and water, although some regions may see an IP68 rating instead. This level of protection is significant for users who require reliable devices in various environments.
Additionally, the launch included a special Iron Man Edition of the Poco X8 Pro, which features a custom case and a Marvel-branded SIM ejector, appealing to fans of the franchise.
The Poco X8 Pro Max starts with 12GB of RAM and offers a storage option of 256GB, retailing at $469, or $529 for the 512GB variant. The Iron Man Edition of the Poco X8 Pro is priced at $400 for the 12/512GB model.
As of now, the devices are available for purchase, and their unique features and pricing strategies are expected to attract a wide range of consumers in India.
This sequence of events is crucial for Xiaomi and Poco, as they continue to strengthen their presence in the competitive smartphone market, particularly in the budget segment where they have previously found success.
