“IMPCC plays a pivotal role in facilitating the government communication in a coordinated manner,” stated Smita Vats Sharma, Director General, West Zone, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a workshop held on March 24, 2026, in Nagpur, India.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) Nagpur organized this workshop under the Inter Media Publicity and Coordination Committee (IMPCC) with the objective of enhancing communication strategies among governmental organizations and agencies in the public sector.

More than 40 Central Government institutions participated in the meeting, which took place at the Chitinvis Center in Civil Lines. The gathering emphasized the importance of effective media outreach and communication within government entities.

Vats Sharma encouraged the participating organizations to actively share updates with the PIB, highlighting that such collaboration could significantly improve their media presence and outreach efforts.

The PIB has been instrumental in facilitating media visits from other states to showcase Maharashtra’s development projects, further underscoring the importance of coordinated communication strategies.

In a related legal context, the Allahabad High Court recently ruled on a case involving the transfer of a suit, stating that “the absence of prior notice under Section 24, by itself, does not vitiate the order of transfer in the absence of demonstrable prejudice,” as articulated by Dr. Yogendra Kumar Srivastava.

This ruling reinforces the principle that procedural defects must be weighed against the substantive outcomes of legal actions, emphasizing the need for clarity and communication in all sectors.

The workshop’s discussions and the court’s ruling reflect a broader commitment to improving communication and operational efficiency within government frameworks.

As the government continues to refine its communication strategies, further developments and workshops are expected to follow, aiming to enhance outreach and engagement across various sectors.
