Reports indicate that two vessels had to turn back after encountering gunfire from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. This incident has raised tensions in a critical maritime passage.

The tenth Indian-flagged vessel crossed the strait amid ongoing firing by Iranian gunboats. Desh Garima, which was carrying crude oil, was en route to Mumbai port when it encountered this hostile environment.

Vessels attempting to cross the Strait of Hormuz received radio messages from Iran’s navy warning them they were not permitted to pass. This blockade has affected both Indian and foreign-flagged ships destined for Indian ports.

Two ships reported being hit by gunfire, further complicating maritime operations in this vital area. The ongoing conflict between Iran and its adversaries has intensified since February 28.

Yet, despite these challenges, several ships continue to navigate the region. Observers are closely monitoring developments as tensions escalate.
