Dipendra Singh Airee Leads Nepal to Victory

Dipendra Singh Airee’s century led Nepal to a narrow victory over UAE in a rain-affected match at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur. Airee scored 100 runs in 94 balls, propelling Nepal to a total of 290 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Before this match, expectations were high after Nepal had previously defeated UAE by 37 runs. However, they also faced a setback against Oman, losing by 102 runs. The team’s performance was under scrutiny as they competed in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2.

The decisive moment came when Nepal set a target of 255 runs for UAE. In response, UAE managed to score 248 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. This meant Nepal won by just 6 runs, utilizing the DLS method due to rain interruptions.

Airee was supported by Binod Bhandari, who contributed 56 runs, and Gulshan Jha with 44 runs. Rohit Paudel also added valuable support with 39 runs. Their combined efforts established a challenging total for UAE.
