Sanjay Raut Raises Concerns Over West Bengal Elections

Sanjay Raut, a leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), has raised alarms about the integrity of the electoral process in West Bengal. He linked these concerns to the influence of BJP and the Election Commission.

Raut expressed his worries during a recent statement, highlighting that people are anxious about their votes being tampered with. “Distrust on democracy is dangerous; people are worried about their votes being tampered since Modi, Shah, and EC chief are in power,” he stated.

Mamata Banerjee visited an EVM strong room before the West Bengal assembly election results were announced. This visit has drawn scrutiny amid accusations of potential misconduct.

Raut criticized Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, suggesting he is biased towards BJP. He stated that Banerjee’s slogan “Jagate Raho” calls for vigilance among voters. He compared this slogan to one used by Akhilesh Yadav, indicating a broader concern about electoral integrity.
