Anshul Kamboj Shines in Chennai Super Kings Victory
Anshul Kamboj’s impressive bowling performance helped Chennai Super Kings restrict Mumbai Indians to a below-par total in their IPL 2026 clash on May 2.
Kamboj took 3 wickets for 32 runs in his four overs. His efforts played a crucial role as the Mumbai Indians managed to score only 159 runs.
Naman Dhir was the standout batsman for Mumbai, scoring 57 runs off 37 balls. However, after a strong start at 90/2, the team collapsed, losing five wickets for just 69 runs in the final ten overs.
Noor Ahmad supported Kamboj well, taking 2 wickets for 26 runs. Kamboj dismissed key players including Will Jacks, Robin Minz, and Hardik Pandya.
Kamboj’s performance solidified his position as the joint-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2026 with 17 wickets from 9 matches. The Chennai Super Kings previously defeated the Mumbai Indians by 103 runs earlier this season.
The Chennai bowlers executed their plans effectively. They maintained pressure throughout the innings, which ultimately led to Mumbai’s downfall.
The upcoming matches will be critical for both teams as they aim for better placements in the league standings.
