The introduction of On-Screen Marking for the first time aims to modernize the evaluation process and speed up result compilation. The CBSE Class 12 exam results are expected to be released in the third week of May 2026. The board conducted the Class 12 board examinations from February 17 to April 10, 2026.

Sanyam Bhardwaj, an official from CBSE, stated that “the process is functioning ‘perfectly’ and remains firmly on schedule.” He also dismissed reports suggesting disruptions in the digital evaluation system as “far away from facts.” This response indicates confidence in the new digital marking system.

The phased evaluation process is designed to ensure that students receive their results promptly. Observers expect that this new approach will lead to quicker turnaround times compared to previous years.
