GSSSB Junior Geologist Recruitment 2026

The Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board (GSSSB) is set to begin the recruitment process for the position of Junior Geologist, officially termed Laghu Bhustarshashtri. This recruitment is significant as it offers 43 openings for candidates in this specialized field.

Applications for the GSSSB Junior Geologist Recruitment will be accepted starting from March 6, 2026. Interested candidates will have until March 20, 2026 to submit their applications through the official GSSSB website.

Following the application period, candidates will need to ensure that their fee payments are completed by March 23, 2026. The application fee is set at Rs 500 for the General Category, while candidates from the SC/ST/Women categories will pay Rs 400.

To be eligible for the Junior Geologist positions, applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology, or a Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Additionally, candidates must be aged between 18 and 37 years.

The selection process will involve a written examination followed by document verification, ensuring that only qualified candidates are considered for these roles.

Successful candidates will receive a salary of Rs 49,000 per month for the first five years. After this period, the salary will range from Rs 39,900 to Rs 1,26,600, reflecting the experience and expertise gained in the role.
