DigiLocker has sparked excitement among students with news of the upcoming Maharashtra HSC Class 12 results. These results are expected to be declared on May 23, 2026. The Maharashtra Board is preparing for this significant announcement.

The Class 12 board examinations began on February 17, 2026. Approximately 46 lakh students will appear for the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations annually. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also plans to release its results around the same time.

CBSE officials indicated that their Class 12 results are likely to be announced in the third week of May. This timing aligns with the Maharashtra Board’s schedule. The evaluation process for CBSE is running smoothly and efficiently this year.

In a notable change, CBSE has fully implemented the On-Screen Marking system for Class 12 answer sheets in 2026. Teachers have expressed satisfaction with this new digital assessment method. Sanyam Bhardwaj, a CBSE official, stated, “My evaluation is going very perfectly, better than the previous evaluation.” He added that teachers are receiving positive feedback from students.

The adoption of On-Screen Marking aims to enhance accuracy and efficiency in grading. This system was announced on February 9, 2026. The move reflects a broader trend towards digital assessments across educational boards.

Sanyam Bhardwaj noted that teachers are receiving selfies and messages from grateful students about the new system. This response highlights a shift in how students engage with their education and assessment processes.
