Saayoni Ghosh Accepts Electoral Defeat in West Bengal

“I humbly accept the mandate of the people of Bengal in favour of the Bharatiya Janata Party,” said Saayoni Ghosh after her party’s defeat in the recent West Bengal Assembly elections. This statement marks a significant political shift in the state.

Ghosh, a former actress known for her roles in Bengali films, transitioned to politics and joined the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) in 2021. She serves as a Member of Parliament from Jadavpur.
